The Happiest Baby Ever

Henry has the sweetest disposition.  He smiles at everyone that gives him even the slightest attention, especially strangers!  He makes the weirdest noises, and they sound very boy.

We started feeding Henry solid foods!  Rice cereal, baby. (Don't mind our very dirty countertop.)

He's gotten the hang of it and really enjoys eating his cereal once a day.  However, he makes a huge mess of himself!

Life can be crazy with two kids, but we learn how to get by!

Henry, the Four-Month Old

Henry is four months old!  He went to his doctor's checkup this week, and she remarked that he has hit a serious growth spurt!  He weighs 17 pounds 1 ounce, and is 26.5 inches long!  Quite the 'little' boy we have!

In comparison, here is a picture of Olivia at four months.  She weighed 16 pounds 10 ounces and was 26 inches long.  We can't believe that we ended up with two gigantic babies!

Henry is shocked I would call hum gigantic...

Henry is a thumb-sucker, it's official.  What a sweetheart he is, we can't believe he's four months old already, my how time flies!

As is generally the case around here, Olivia is trying to steal this sticker from Henry.  She wants his toys, he clothes, his bottles, his eyelashes...  And she generally gets what she wants.

 Cassandra and the kids went to Park City with her family for a few days where Henry ruled the hotel room from his Bumbo throne.

Henry and his Uncle Chet are best buds and very close.  

Generally, as we go and do fun activities, Henry just sits and takes it all in.  Here is Henry at the splash park, sticking his tongue out, one of his favorite pastimes. 

Henry sat in the new pool with us in the backyard, he seemed unimpressed.

Henry enjoys blowing raspberries and spitting.  He enjoyed doing that on our recent trip to the Dinosaur Park.  spitting is way more fun than dinosaurs!

Henry the Firecracker

Henry responds to each new event in his life with cheerful stoicism.

He sits back watching with mild interest as Bob lights a bunch of fireworks.  He wasn't upset by them at all, and enjoyed cuddling with Aunt Arla and Grandma Christa during the explosions.

Henry treated his first visit to the pool like it was a giant bathtub.  Fun for chilling with his Uncle Chet.

We went on a hike recently, and Cassandra wimped out towards the end, so Bob took both of the kids for the rest of the hike!  Pretty impressive.

Henry is incredibly patient with Olivia and all of her crazy antics.  She is obsessed with any toy that Henry is playing with, and finds as many occasions as possible to kiss and hug and pat him.  He rarely cries when she's doing this, even if it looks painful.  In fact, he finds her hilarious and will belly laugh at her with only the slightest provocation.

Henry (aka Hank, Honky-Tonk, Hankie McHankerson, Vomit Comet, Super Soaker)  loves vomiting.  His shirt is almost always damp and smelly.  

He is doing so well.  We have convinced him to nap twice a day at the same time as his sister, and he's sleeping great at nights too.  He's rolling over from his stomach to his back like gangbusters.  He smiles at everything, and giggles very easily.  What a pleasant little angel he is!

Henry Turns 3 Months

Henry is such a sweet and pleasant baby, we love having him around.

He's going through that adorable phase where he discovers his hands.  He's obsessed with playing with them and eating them and drooling all over them.

Well, I guess he's almost always pleasant, but he is a baby after all!

Uncle Chet is Henry's new favorite, and look at their matching aviator glasses!

Olivia and Henry have started playing together.  He enjoys watching her and she gives him kisses over and over.  They've started cooing and babbling at each other, especially in the car.  Sometimes they'll look at each other and laugh.  It's an exciting glimpse at the times to come as they become friends and play together.

We went to the zoo as a family, and Henry just slept the entire time!  Silly boy.

Henry the Chatter

Henry is such a chatty and pleasant baby!  He loves cooing at people that show him any attention, he's probably just pleased that they're looking at him instead of at Olivia...

He and Olivia are learning how to play better together, or rather, he's just learning to put up with her antics.

She is especially interested in plucking out his juicy eyeballs!

Olivia and Henry have lots of great Aunts, but they want to send a special shout out to Aunt Dione for having her birthday and Aunt Anna for buying these propaganda onsies!

We think he's quite partial to the manly influences.  The only person that has been able to get him to belly laugh is his Uncle Chet.

We spent time in Southern Utah this week on Henry's first official vacation!  We did lots of hiking and enjoying of the great outdoors.

The four of us went on the infamous Angel's Landing hike in Zions.  A woman informed Olivia, "You must be the youngest one up here!"  She then saw Henry and laughed, "No!  YOU'RE the youngest one up here!"
