Henry's First Balloon!

We've had lots going on lately, so Henry's been a bit overshadowed.  He doesn't mind though, he's still our happy little buddy!

Henry loved Olivia's birthday.  He got to see lots of friends and family and he played with his first balloon, which he absolutely loved.  He also got to try out all of Olivia's new toys, much to her annoyance.

Henry had to bid adieu to Uncle Elder Carter (or is it Elder Uncle Carter?) as he left for his mission to Tonga.

After all this time of being ignored, he passed out in church and slept until Olivia nearly fell on top of him while jumping on the pew!  What a sweet little guy.

Henry is 5 Months!

Henry had a super great time a couple of weeks ago visiting his grandparents.  Nana and Papa made sure he thoroughly enjoyed himself!  Here he is chilling in the backyard pool.

Henry found a great monkey hat at the farmer's market.

But Henry's favorite part by far was hanging out with his buddy Uncle Chet!  Apart from looking like each other, they also really enjoy chilling together.

Henry is 5 months old now, my how time flies!  He graduated this week from his rehab, his neck is almost completely healed from his torticolis!  

He and Olivia are now learning to share, and they are only partially succeeding...  Look at Henry's pale pale skin next to Olivia.

Henry remains our cheerful chipper boy.  He's always ready with a smile or a weird boy noise to lighten the mood.

Henry has been playing so hard lately that he falls asleep in the middle of it.  He especially likes dozing off during walks.  He went for a Razor ride with Aunt Anna and fell asleep despite the loud noise, and giant helmet on his head.

The Happiest Baby Ever

Henry has the sweetest disposition.  He smiles at everyone that gives him even the slightest attention, especially strangers!  He makes the weirdest noises, and they sound very boy.

We started feeding Henry solid foods!  Rice cereal, baby. (Don't mind our very dirty countertop.)

He's gotten the hang of it and really enjoys eating his cereal once a day.  However, he makes a huge mess of himself!

Life can be crazy with two kids, but we learn how to get by!

Henry, the Four-Month Old

Henry is four months old!  He went to his doctor's checkup this week, and she remarked that he has hit a serious growth spurt!  He weighs 17 pounds 1 ounce, and is 26.5 inches long!  Quite the 'little' boy we have!

In comparison, here is a picture of Olivia at four months.  She weighed 16 pounds 10 ounces and was 26 inches long.  We can't believe that we ended up with two gigantic babies!

Henry is a thumb-sucker, it's official.  What a sweetheart he is, we can't believe he's four months old already, my how time flies!

As is generally the case around here, Olivia is trying to steal this sticker from Henry.  She wants his toys, he clothes, his bottles, his eyelashes...  And she generally gets what she wants.

 Cassandra and the kids went to Park City with her family for a few days where Henry ruled the hotel room from his Bumbo throne.

Henry and his Uncle Chet are best buds and very close.  

Generally, as we go and do fun activities, Henry just sits and takes it all in.  Here is Henry at the splash park, sticking his tongue out, one of his favorite pastimes.

Henry enjoys blowing raspberries and spitting.  He enjoyed doing that on our recent trip to the Dinosaur Park.  spitting is way more fun than dinosaurs!

Henry the Firecracker

Henry responds to each new event in his life with cheerful stoicism.

He sits back watching with mild interest as Bob lights a bunch of fireworks.  He wasn't upset by them at all, and enjoyed cuddling with Aunt Arla and Grandma Christa during the explosions.

Henry treated his first visit to the pool like it was a giant bathtub.  Fun for chilling with his Uncle Chet.

We went on a hike recently, and Cassandra wimped out towards the end, so Bob took both of the kids for the rest of the hike!  Pretty impressive.

Henry is incredibly patient with Olivia and all of her crazy antics.  She is obsessed with any toy that Henry is playing with, and finds as many occasions as possible to kiss and hug and pat him.  He rarely cries when she's doing this, even if it looks painful.  In fact, he finds her hilarious and will belly laugh at her with only the slightest provocation.

Henry (aka Hank, Honky-Tonk, Hankie McHankerson, Vomit Comet, Super Soaker)  loves vomiting.  His shirt is almost always damp and smelly.  

He is doing so well.  We have convinced him to nap twice a day at the same time as his sister, and he's sleeping great at nights too.  He's rolling over from his stomach to his back like gangbusters.  He smiles at everything, and giggles very easily.  What a pleasant little angel he is!
