Henry is 7 Months Old!

Henry's grandmother Nana had a photoshoot with our ever growing boy for his six-month birthday, and here are a few of our favorites.

Can you get enough of these baby blues?

This orchard was the perfect place to shoot pictures of our favorite dapper little man.  He was obsessed with these apples.

As usually happens with Henry's life, Olivia decides she needs in on the action and jumped into his photoshoot.  Ah well, life's better with a good buddy to share it with!

Henry's happy disposition and easy giggle make him the talk of the town and very popular.

Kissing (second) cousins!  Henry and Lola exchanged a few pecks at a family party recently.

Uncle Chet and Henry are BFF.  Uncle Chet is one of the few people that Henry will lavish his baby hugs on!

As an October tradition, we get together with the Hulsbergs every year and have a candy tournament (this year's winner = Toblerone).  This year we had an exciting appetizer, a meat tournament!  The boys participated as judges.  The winner?  A delicious marinated chicken.  Henry was excited to be part of the action, he is chewing on a pen used for judging.

Hiking with the family in the early October snow! Henry was warm and cozy in his fleece froggy suit.

On Jiggy Day (Aunt Jocie's birthday) we hiked to the top of beaver mountain to check out how the monument was faring more than three years later.  It still looks great!

Not pictured, 100 gigantic rice crispy treats we ate at the top.

Walking back with Grandpa Dean (aka Papa), Henry got really tired.

Classic soulful Henry stare.

Henry likes the swing until he hates it and tries to climb out of it!

He loves swinging his hands up and down and yelling.

Henry has gotten so big!  He has mastered his first word: Mama.  He mostly uses this when he's sitting in his high chair waiting to be fed as in, "Mama!  I'm so hungry!  Can't you see I'm practically wasting away?!"  He's also started to wave a little bit, but very rarely, and apparently never when his dad is around.

He's pretty much mastered a form of crawling we call the inchworm, and can get around pretty swiftly when he wants to, much to Olivia's chagrin.  She is constantly annoyed when he can crawl after her and insist they share toys.  And by share, Henry means give to him to play with exclusively.

Olivia has to be Henry's favorite person.  He lights up whenever she comes around, and he responds when she says his name.  Best frenemies already!

We love our sweet little seven month old boy and couldn't be happier to have him around!

Henry Turns 6 months!

Henry is a big kid!  He weighs 20 pounds 5 ounces and is 27 inches long.  (Olivia at 6 months was 20 pounds 7 ounces and 27.5 inches long.  -- He's no longer growing as fast as she was!)

Our sweet little buddy has started to become quite the little pill with a feisty personality.  If he's tired and things aren't going his way, he'll just violently throw himself forward and head-butt anything in front of him.  He doesn't even care if it's a granite countertop!

We can't believe that Olivia was this big when Henry was born.  Time sure flies when you have two beautiful children to run after!

Henry has been melting hearts near and far.  He will happily sit on anyone's lap and soak in the goings-on. Since he has gotten really good at sitting in the last month or so, he has fallen in love with taking walks.  He enjoys hanging out outdoors, and especially grabbing fistfuls of grass and trying to shove them in his mouth.

He thought he had it made when he grabbed this banana.  Little did he realize that it had to be peeled, sliced, and mashed before he could actually eat it!  When are those teeth showing up?!

Now that he's scooting around and becoming mobile-ish, he is helping Olivia with some of her devious schemes.  They found some of Cassandra's fabric and unravelled this jelly roll.  He doesn't look the least bit guilty!

He loves hiking with Mom, but he's getting quite big for the front carrier.  His legs are interfering with walking, but his babbling and laughing is definitely good for hiking morale!

When Bob was gone on a particularly long trip, Olivia grabbed this farmer guy and started calling it "Dada."  Henry liked it and proceeded to chew on "Dada's" head for the next hour.

We sure love our chubby smiley happy little boy.  What a great six months it has been!  It's hard to remember a life before we had his sweet spirit in our lives.
